Well silly, if they are non African American racists, then they certainly wouldn't celebrate Kwanzaa. I doubt many Klansman or Neo-Nazis have it penned in on their calendars for holidays to observe.
Kwanzaa, is an African-American celebration of cultural reaffirmation, is one of the fastest-growing holidays in the history of the world. It took root 30 years ago, when graduate student Maulana Karenga, disturbed by the 1965 riots in Los Angeles' Watts area, decided that African-Americans needed an annual event to celebrate their differences rather than the melting pot.
Not a religious holiday, Kwanzaa is, rather, a seven-day celebration that begins on Dec. 26 and continues through Jan. 1.
Kwanzaa is a spiritual, festive and joyous celebration of the oneness and goodness of life, which claims no ties with any religion. It has definite principles, practices and symbols which are geared to the social and spiritual needs of African-Americans.
Only people who can find it within themselves to identify with Americans of African decent would celebrate such a holiday.

Because in my eyes it is not a holiday. The same reason why Christians don't celebrate Chanukkah and why Jews don't celebrate Christmas. But to be honest Kwanzaa is celebrated mainly by black Americans not many Africans outside of one country. I come from an African family and we don't recognize Kwanzaa as a holiday because i didn't really even surface until about 10 years ago and also I don't know any other African person who celebrates it. only black Americans who want to feel a connection to "the mother land" .

You are not being fair here.Just because someone doesn't celebrate Kwanzaa does not make them a racist.Jewish people are not tripping if non-Jewish people are not celebrating Hannakah.Celebrating a holiday, any holiday for that matter should be a time for celebrating not about meeting a racial quota.
