It is the most amazing piece of ancient literature, there is NOTHING like it. It answers all of the problems this life offers, if people want it. It proves it is true, because of how it correlates with other written histories, its prophecies, etc. It is interesting, can be gruesome and scary, or poetic, loving, and encouraging in other parts. It can give wisdom, and show you how to get it. It has many promises for all men, if they would just read it, and do their part, and then wait and see if God would do his. It is all true. It cannot be destroyed no matter how hard they used to try, and it is still the best seller of all time, and always has been.

Now that people know how the bible was gathered and the books chosen - everyone has an opinion.
I think the bible was carefully put together, by people under the Holy Spirit, and I laugh at today's humanity thinking they know more than these holy people.
Today the Holy Spirit is so stretched thin, and utterly ignored by "the faithful" in so many regards, and yet I have to listen to these TV/radio "preachers" and "know-it-alls" explain how this book should be in or this book out. How amazing to watch peoples egos, and no one being respectful or humble.
I like my ignorance, I see the history of the heritage of Jesus (OT), and then the start of the church (NT), I have the teachings of Jesus so I am happy; and now I reach boiling when "preachers" and "know-it-alls" actually hurt innocent people instead of helping them by twisting these simple teachings of Jesus into predatory scare tactics to fill their pockets, and cause strife between different groups of people. During a spanish mass, the Priest actually said during the sermon, us and them, to keep the Spanish speaking people scared of the Californians, we shook our heads and never went to that site again. He actually told my wife at the time she "misheard" him! (Not knowing she is Costa Rican and understood him very clearly.)
What do I think of the bible? I think humans are not ready to read it without GOD sitting next to each one of us, as we will only twist every word to hurt each other. Humanity is just unable to get along with each other yet. The Book is too powerful, and we are not mature enough.

i think it is the Word of God. and very true, i believe it is still acurate even though it is very old. one thing God said his word will never change. another they have shown it to still be acurate. with only 2 percent of the Bible changed and most of that is from commas and grammar. not words. they have shown that the meaning is still 100 percent acurate. i believe this and i believe that my God who created the earth is powerfull enough to keep his word the same. i just cant see that he can create the earth and all of mankind and everything but not beable to keep his Word the same.

and they have shown that there were other books. that were written at the same time. however like the 1 and 2 cor are acually the 2 and 3rd however the 1st that was written was also shown to have only been for the church at the time. and not for us all. the Bible is Gods word for us. like the cor. those were letters. and the first was not for us and not for the Bible. most the other books that have been said to be in the Bible i am sure if God meant for them to be they would have been. and most of them were shown that there was no need for them for us. i think another one they say talked about a war and was not even for us. and just cause it was written in the Bible times so to speak does not mean it was supposed to be in the Bible.

There's a good reason it is the most read book in history. It's God's love letter to humans. Many have tried to destroy it but its popularity has increased and is being translated into nearly as many languages that exist.

The Bible is God's holy word. It was given to us to use in our lives to learn about God and His plans for us and the world. The so called "contradictions" only come from people's misinterpretations of it. With God's guidance you will know everthing that you need to know. The Bible is the lamp unto my path!

How one views the Bible has a huge effect on how we view Christianity, Jesus, and the requirements to being a good Christian.

While I am a Christian, The Bible, to me, is not the literal word of God; it contains far too many human errors, in my opinion, to be God's literal words.

That said, it is the most important book in my life, for it allows me to understand Jesus' life and teachings, and helps me find peace and strength. This peace helps me to love others as Jesus loves us; helps me to more fully commit myself to doing God's will.

My opinion is that the Bible is an epic work of fictional short stories by many authors that has been reworked and edited innumerable times.

Why? I am not of the Christian faith (or really, of any espoused faith). I think the Bible is interesting and historically relevant, but I think that as a society and a species, we should be outgrowing religion.

I love it

I read it daily

I believe it

Its Author is The Holy Spirit

It speaks of Sin, of Righteousness and Judgment

It speaks of the darkness and sin of All Mankind

It speaks of Salvation through the Finished Work of Christ Jesus

It tells us that No-One is going to get away - with anything!

It tells us that Jesus will Reign and that All sin will be Vanquished

It tells me of my Home with HIM!

Amen, RR

I love it but do not read it nearly enough. It has prov-en to me to be reliable. It inspires me and leads me to love others and to do good.

I have found it to be very reliable. It is a scientifically ratified book. There have been no faults proved against it, otherwise they would have been published all over the place.
