I re-gift it, like I did with a set of 6 capucinno cups my mother gave to me, that her aunt gave to her. I gave them to my sister. lol. My mother gave me a Swiffer Wet Jet mop that's been sitting in my livingroom for about 8 months. On Christmas, she admitted my brother had given it to her, and that she re-gifted it to me. You can regift it, or give it to the Goodwill/Salvation Army.

No matter what I don't throw any of my gifts away because I think of the people who didn't get any gifts at all!

Normally pass it on to someone else that can use it...or if its a general gift I would pass it on to the mailman or garbage man...Its always the thought of giving...I am not going to keep something I know I am not going to use...

My older brother gave me a 30" long decorative fishing lure... yeah. It goes w/ absolutely nothing in my apartment - very conservatively decorated... which he acknowledged. His intent was to "lighten up" my place a bit. I'm not excited about it, but I'm going to respect his suggestion and hang it somewhere - at least I will when he comes to visit next.

I'm a pack rat - if I don't like my gift, I just throw it somewhere in my room. Otherwise, I give it to someone else.
