People most often are afraid that others might think that someone will think that they are crazy, stupid, dumb, weird etc. We all have a need to be excepted by others and that usually stops us from just speaking off the cuff. I am to the point in my life that I have pretty much left that feeling behind me, although I still say to myself after I have expressed an opinion that is not popular that I am sure everyone thinks I'm crazy! Oh well!

People are afraid to express how they feel since expressing it sounds like they're broadcasting their inferiority towards the world.

And inferiority is a key to their weaknesses

That's why they use defense mechanisms to prevent other people from seeing within them.

Yeah, they are afraid of what others might think.

Since you know what they already feel, somehow, it won't stop you from thinking why are they feeling like that.

There are some people who can't accept the fact that this person is like this...

For the fear of losing that person...It's better for them to keep those feelings than disappoint that person

Hope I helped...

Put simply, people innately need to feel capable and/or lovable. If you express your feelings that may be out of sync with what others are experiencing, then you run the risk of standing out from the crowd, of appearing less capable or lovable. People generally avoid risk, so by not expressing themselves, they run less risk.
