Honestly, it sounds like your home life is very hectic. He's 8 and just now finding out who his father is, I'm sure it is stressful.

Talk to his teachers and perhaps enroll him in afterschool classes or have him take up an instrument or sport.

You should be a role model for your children. Make sure your own behavior is what you want your children to copy.

There are many reasons why children change their behavior. in this situation the reason why your son is acting the way he does is because he's acting out his anger and confusion based on the new and overwhelming news, he aslo may be asking for attention not from you but from his dad thats just the way children act out there feelings. I recommend that you have a one on one conversation with your son to find out what's going on in his mind then put days aside for him to spend guy time with his father, hopefully things will work out for the better. It could be his little way of asking for attention from his father.

Well, if you know his aggression is from finding out about his real dad, then you need to talk to him. He's acting out to get attention that he's obviously NOT getting. You need to sit down and have a heart to heart with him and find out how he feels about it, and you need to give him a little guidance and reassurance as his mother.
