Bottled water is from different places. Evian is from the Alps, and Fiji is from the Fiji Islands. Also, some water has salt in it, like Dasani. (Yes, it does. Look at the label, under the ingredients list. Ugh, it's so gross. I can actually taste the salt in it now. And I know that it is for providing the appropriate amount of sodium your body needs, but PLEASE, I can find it some other way!)
It makes sense, then, that Evian and Aquafina taste different.

It is the process in which each company deals with cleaning the water before they bottle it up. Essentially, people like Disani use trace minerals which makes it taste way different than Aquafena. Evian's process comes a source different than Aquafena. Albertson's bottled water is pretty much tap water that has been filtered. Hope this helps.

Mainly the label and the price but there could be a slight difference in taste due to the filtering process but it's pretty much the same. I personally drink Dasani lemon flavored as I mix in my energy drink with it 2 times a day (8am & Noon). It's the first energy drink to come out in the form of a powder which makes it very easy to mix up no matter where you are at with the beverage of your choice. It comes in easy to carry packets that fit easily into a pocket or a purse. Just pour it in, shake it up or stir it, and you have an extreme and awesome energy drink that works in minutes and last for several hours. all bottled water has to go through some kind of filtration system no matter how "natural spring water" it may advertise itself to be or where it supposedly came from.
this filtering process will cause the tatse to vary from brand to brand, and depending on your own taste, will determine what the water tastes like to you personally
so in theory...the better the filtration the better the water.
and in all reality water should have no taste or no smell at all.

The source. Some is actually bottled at a spring, some is just filtered city water.

I can tell a difference too, Dasani is my favorite. It's the location, how they purify it and possibly the bottle that makes them different. Some companies add flouride and other things to their water also.

Different types of water taste different because they are not truly pure. It is almost impossible to manufacture pure H2O.. man, I bet that would taste great! Too bad though..
