what foods and drinks contain carboxylic acid?

Considering that various forms of carboxylic acid are frequently used as food preservatives, I guess the answer would be "just about every prepared food out there".

I assume you are looking to avoid it and not looking to increase your intake. Water is an excellent beverage that shouldn't have any carboxylic acid. Likewise, unprocessed foods - fresh fruits and vegetables - shouldn't have any. So stay away from anything that comes in a can or a box.
