As first you should double check correct spelling on yr cards as while papessa and ierofante are correct, others must be "bagatto" and "appeso" (instead of 'bagat' and 'impeso').
You can't find in any dictionary since all these terms have origin from the middle age when Italian language was different.
However I try to translate them for you :
1.- PAPESSA - Its name has probably origin from Papessa Giovanna legend (see at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_Joan ). She is who knows all but that reveals just a small part of her knowledge. She's sitting on a throne between two columns (The life and death, the good and evil). She holds on her hands either a rolled parchmain or an open book, but we can read just a small part of the content. She doesn't read (she knows everything and thus doesn't need reading) and holds her head up, looking at the future.

2.- IEROFANTE - This card is commonly known also with the name IL PAPA ( The Pope)- He's holding a triple cross (the Maltese Cross) with both hands and the meaning is that being his hands engaged to hold the cross they are then not available to receive gifts. He is also sitting between the two columns of the Life and Death. It's the symbol of religious faith and power.

3.- BAGATTO - This card is also known as IL MAGO (The Wizard)- He belong all the powers but he must take care how to use them. He can rule the destini. On its table he has a cup with the ambrosia (Divinity drink - = nettare), richness coins, the sword for his defence. He's wearing an 8 shaped hat (symbol of eternity)
4.- L' APPESO - This card represents the situations not yet fixed
(outstandings) = sospeso ,new Italian term replacing the older appeso).Everything has its own price. Outstanding situation might be upturned. The right leg that's folded and crossed means the forced immobility. The more you move the worst you feel.
You're perhaps not so comfortable but at the moment better you don't move at all.

There are a lot of different languages on there, and you just type all the words into the box kind of like this one. Very easy to use.
