Are you still friends with your ex? If so talk to him, see how he feels. Respect his feelings. IF he's still a friend. If not, then don't think of this guy as your ex's best friend, think of him as that cute guy you have a crush on. Don't do anything out of spite. Try to assosiate yourself with him in a positive light, so he won't think of you as "My buddy's crazy ex-girlfriend." I don't see a problem either way as long as you are careful not to be crushing because you want to hurt your ex. My sister is dating my ex, and we all get a long great, of course the bonds of sisterhood are a little deeper.

If you want to be with them then talk to them and see if they are interested. You don't owe your ex anything he is your ex for a reason.

Ask the guy you're interested in what he thinks. After all, you're interested in this guy, not your ex; if there's going to be friction, it should have nothing to do with you, it's their problem.
