More is sold before Christmas. More is exchanged or given away for presents on Christmas day and more is consumed on New Years Eve.

In terms of on the actual day, it will be New Years. However, given that people can do their Christmas shopping for a month in advance, if it was calculable, you might find that Christmas liquor sales bring in more revenue because they are stretched out over a longer period of time.

To many kids around for Christmas. But the kids go to bed before midnight on new years. So it would have to be new years.

christmas because there is a longer build up to christmas so people have more time to celebrate and have multiple christmas parties.
