If you consider the wrong impression to be, 'I'm interested in you,', then yes it gives the wrong impression.
Grrr... guys obsess over when they should call a girl, and its reall just not as big a deal as they think it is! Very few girls give you their number not expecting you to call. Seriously guys, this isn't like swimming after you eat, just pick up the phone and call!!!!

As a woman. I don't believe that it would give the wrong impression, If your interested your interested. give the person a call, everyone is different some might be offended, i sure wouldn't be offended. Give it a go :) good luck

definately wait 2-3 days. anything less then that and they will think you are clingy, anything more then 4 or 5 days they will think your not interested...
yes its a stupid system but ive spoke with some of my female friends and thats what they told me. so based on the input of 3 women is how im answering this.

I have never understood this...if you wait a few days they know its only because of the "rule"...I would call them that night, lol, I mean honestly you should show your interest as soon as possible...but dont go over the top...

No. It lets them know you are interested, cannot wait to see them and are not playing games with how many days should I wait to call.

if a lot of guys have their eyes on her, call her ASAP. if not, wait a little (2-3 days) to show her that you're gonna take your'e time cause YOU are the much-wanted material.

It takes two to tango. It's fine as long as you get proper response, but if you are not getting it, and you still keep calling then I advise you to stay away.
