"Take a saucer of water and put in half of a peeled onion, cut side down, in the saucer and add a little water. I don't know why it works. All I know is it does. The smell is gone really fast. Bigger rooms use two saucers of onions."
You can also try placing a plate filled with salt in the room.

Crack open a window that no one can reach for a few hours on a cold day. The cold will kill the smell and aerate the house with nice fresh air at the same time. If you dont want to do that then you can always grab some Febreze or Lysol and spray the house!

isn't that humorous I luv the smell of recent paint , yet HATE the recent automobile smell. in basic terms a bowl of white vinegar placed in the midsection of the room. it particularly is interesting that your paint has the type of reliable smell because of the fact extra moderen paints don't have those themes...hmm...

Throw a couple of dead fish here and there around the house then get a 20 or 30 gallon trash can and fill it with rotting produce(fruits and vegetables) and put the lid on nice and tight. Now crank the heater up and...........well.....I don't pretend to know exactly how it works but the paint smell just seems to disappear.

ask at the store where you got the paint. you are not the first person to be sensitive to fresh paint. i heard ammonia placed in a dish will do it, seems like it would make it worse, to me. i would guess that the fumes are in all the furniture and that is why it is lingering. if that's the case fabreze.

when you paint, you're supposed to add vanilla extract to get rid of the smell.

put out a few loaves of white bread and put out some coffee in pans.. the coffee masks the smell and the bread absorbs it.
