Depends on both the computer and the TV
if your PC has a DVI output, then try DVI-to-HDMI, however, your TV needs to support PC timing over HDMI.

VGA (PC) to VGA (TV) always works but many TVs don'thave VGA support any more.

Component could work, but your PC graphics card need to support using a TV as a monitor (ATI, NVidia, and Intel do, just make sure you get their latest drivers)

I use a DVI (digital video interface) cable to hook my computer up with my plasma. there are also HDMI cables you can use. check the link below its best buy's how to choose the right cable. good luck.
