I actually make these dishes and you cannot go wrong with any of them.......I hope you have a WONDERFUL NY's Eve.

Taco Dip

1 13 X 9 pan
1 16 ounce can of refried beans
1 large sour cream
2 packets of taco seasoning, one mild, one hot
1 (or more) 8 ounce bags of taco cheese
2 cans of sliced black olives
6 green onions, minced
taco bell home originals taco sauce (in a long skinny bottle) or your favorite salsa

In the pan layer the beans. In a separate bowl mix the sour cream with the taco mix and smooth over the beans. Add the olives and onions and top with cheese. Put in fridge for at least 4 hours and take the salsa and some tortilla chips to the party to serve.

Now, you can add ANYTHING you want to this mix, but I guarentee you, EVERYONE will love it.

Spinach Dip:

Buy the Knorr's Vegetable Dip Dry Mix in the soup ilse, the recipe is on the back and it ROCKS!!!! Serve in a bread bowl with the bread cubes and celery on a large platter, make it pretty. I always double it because it goes really fast.

Sausage Balls:

Back of the Bisquik Box....you cannot go wrong. I use the hot sausage mixed with the mild and make a double batch.

Stuffed Salami:

1/2 pound salami sliced from the deli on about 3
cream cheese, room temp so you can spread
green onions

Take the salami and spead cream cheese on each slice, place a whole green onion on the salami and roll, cut off excess onion and use in other rolls so your using the whole thing. You should be able to cut each roll up into 3 to 4 bite size pieces.

I hope you try these!!!!!

go to www.allrecipes.com and search for Hoagie Dip.

This is my most requested dip that I bring anywhere and it is always devoured within about the first 20 minutes of a party. I have had to double and even triple the recipes at times. I have never left with a half eaten bowl, its always wiped clean.

Spectacular Four-layer Rainbow Cake

You'll need two sponge or angel food cakes---make them yourself, or purchase them. You'll need jam or jelly, and whipped cream.
Carefully cut each cake into two layers, making four altogether.
Mix your favorite flavor of jam or jelly, or orange marmalade, with whipped cream (make it yourself, or use Cool Whip or a can of whipped cream) and spread over the first layer. For the remaining two layers, use other jam or jelly flavors mixed with whipped cream. To finish, coat the top and sides lightly with whipped cream.
For great added flavor, see if you can find a strawberry-glazed angel food cake. Walmart bakeries have them, along with other stores.

Serves 12-14, and people LOVE this recipe! You don't have to tell them how easy it is.

If you go to foodtv., to the Hardy Boys show, they make this to die for spinach artichoke and bacon dip - its cold and served with seasoned pitas. It is a winner everytime.
Also, a dip that I like to make that is seriously simple is taking onion soup mix and adding one stick of cream cheese (philadelphia) and one regular container - i think 16 ozs - of Breakmans sour cream.
You can also do bruschetta - a really nice way to make it stick out is to add balsamic vinigar. It adds a great tang. However at a party, you dont want to put the bruschetta on the bread - keep it in a bowl and let the guests add it themselves. Serve with toasted baguette slices.
Another suggestion is to take sour cream, add horseradish (real horshradish, not horseradish cream or mustard) to it along with lemon juice to taste and chopped chives to decorate. You want this to be flavorful, not too much. Expect to use a lot of salt. Put this on top of toasted bread - baguette, french or sourdough are great - top the sauce with sliced roast beef. It is gorgeous, inexpensive, and will go over great.

buy some frozen meaballs and put them in a slow cooker early on the 31st with a full bottle of either grape or apricot jam and a bottle of heinz chilli sauce and cook for at least 5 hours...carry the pot to the party, plug the pot back in and serve the meatballs with toothpicks

I agree with going to Trader Joes. They have cocktail sauce (with cooked shrimp), spinch dip, bruchetta, etc. Also, an easy favorite is salami with cream cheese in the middle, then you use a toothpick to close. They are always a hit!
