you must go to a professional!!! red is hard enough for us to get out, don't try it on your own. It will be pink-the first time-a professional can use a color remover that is less harsh on your hair than the stuff your using at home, and will prob. have to do it a few times. Then once your hair is a nice yellow-y color they can tone it to a nice pale blonde....please don't do it at home-forget the right color, your problem will then be trying to find a wig for your bald head :)

(oh-don't listen to these people-color will not make your other hair color go away-the color absolutely needs to be stripped out first before it is colored-all using a box of blonde color will do is color any new growth you may have and won't do a thing to the rest. Plus put another layer of unnecessary chemicals on your hair)

I have naturally black hair but I went blonde for the summer - I am now back to black. Anyhow, It is extremely difficult to get through the orange and even pink stage .... you will have to bleach your hair again. Matter of fact, I had to do it 3 times which isn't great because the first 3 weeks my hair was extremely dry. It's a shame because I am a beauty college graduate and I know better! LOL

I recommend going to a professional if you don't feel comfortable bleaching it again. If you are okay with doing it yourself, get yourself at least 2 more boxes of bleach. A toner would be good also so it will look more natural. My hair color was a pale blonde - I bleached my hair first to get all the black out and then I used a normal blonde hair color to give it a more natural look. Don't leave it on longer than recommended .... when you're all done, condition your hair really well.

Oh sweetie! Let me be 100% honest with you. First of all, you should go to a professional stylist at a REPUTABLE salon. You can't go right back to blonde, you will have to do it gradually. Your stylist will be able to take you do a light reddish/dark blonde color. Another option would be to have it cut short - and frequently - like about every five weeks. That way it grows out quicker. And with it short, the color damage is being done to less hair. GOOD LUCK! :)

I know that color removers are sold at the drugstore but if you don't feel comfortable with that, you can always visit a hair stylist.
