r u sure she is ready for potty-training? Is she dry throughout the night? Does she tell you when she is wet? Start by explaining the process to her and by emptying her soiled diapers into the toilet bowl so that she knows that that is where her waste should go. Get her a little potty step and her very own hand wash and begin taking her to the bathroom when you feel she is about ready to use it - she may be too young to tell you herself. Reward her with some treat when she gets it right - but do not leave her on the potty for too long while waiting for her to take care of business. After 5 minutes of waiting, remove her and tell her you will come back later to try again. Maybe she needs to watch Mummy or other children use the potty to better understand what it is all about. Teach her early about hand washing as well. Try to encourage her to develop the sensation of a full bladder so that she can begin to inform you when she has to go.

My best friend tried to potty her daughter the day after the second birthday. She is now 3. She refuses to go into the bathroom unless it is for a bath. If she is told to go use the potty she will use the bathroom on the carpet. Also if she didn't go potty on the toilet she was punished. Basically her mother has feared her of the potty. Dint rush anything. She will let you know when she is ready. You can but her some books that shows her how "fun" potty training is. also you can get one of those dolls the pee's.

She is not ready..........just like that. You should hide the potty and wait a month or two, then, buy a bunch of underwear and stay a home with her for the weekend and put her on underwear.
The first day is going to be messy, but by the second day she will get it. That is what I did with my girl, I wait it until she was 2½ and it just took me four days to potty train.

My lil girl just turned 2 in Sept. and she's almost done.
I would put in pull-ups & everytime I would go she went. I read her favorite book to her and anytime she would use the potty the family would do a happy dance and we would sing (her name) pea pea on the potty over and over dancing in a circle and clapping. and she loved plus if i didn't have to go I would just take her to the potty bout every 2-3 hrs. also she has a 4 yr old sis & everytime she goes I would put my 2 yr old on her potty. Be patient she'll get it sooner or later.

My daughter turned 2 on 12-10 and since october she lets either my x or myself know when she needs to go because we started when she was 18 months taking her and setting her on the pottie and making sounds while she was sitting there.

Well the way that my mother did it is that every other time I went to the bathroom she would pin a dollar up on the blinds. My aunt potty trained her little girl by every time she went to the bathroom she would give her little girl a piece of candy.
