You are at an age where your body is going through some major changes, males and females. The good thing is that now you can develop some positive habits to shape the rest of your life. 158 lbs. is heavy for your height, the fact that you have a lot of belly fat is also a good sign that your diet is not on the right track. Well I turn 15 on Feb too. I'm 5'6 also and weight 138. I think you are overweight. If you want to lose weight you have to stop eating junk food, soda, sweets, etc. Its going to take awhile to get used to it. But at the end its going to be worth it. Start by drinking only one can of soda or a glass or juice per day. And the rest water. And then just drink soda weekdays. And just slowly start by not drinking soda no more. You cut it off slowly. Its the same with junk food and sweets. Start by only having one per day then only weekdays then only once a week and just don't eat it no more. Slowly your going to start losing weight. If you have PE in school then that's better. If you have to run a mile, then try to beat your time. Like if you run it in 10min try to run it in 9. Try doing things like this and for sure you will lose weight. Its safe to lose 1-2lbs per week not more. If you lose alot of weight in a short time, once you stop the "diet"( i don't like to call it diet) you will gain more weight than what you lost. Be careful with that. Oh by the way drink alot of water, water gets you full so you'll eat less. And stay motivated have a goal to reach Do it for someone or something. Well good luck! I hope you reach your goal.

On the BMI chart you are about 26 which is just 1 point into overweight. 136

Ur not fat at all....when i wuz 12...i weight wuz 156 and i thought dat wuz crazy....but mr doctor told me that it wuz jus baby fat and dat it would wear off......and whan i got about 131/2...my weight start goin down and now i am 15 and i weight 134...and dats a normal weight for my age and my point iz dat its jus baby fat and it will wear off.. trust me...and ur height iz normal....im tall too...jus cuz my dad wuz tall! Hope dat Helps!!!

you are only 14 ... you should be fine.. just eat healthy and regular excercise and you wont have any problems as you mature into a young adult.
