Not that it always works out the way we want it. But it all depends on so many factors through prayer, your heart, faith, sincerity, compassion, truth, will of God, God's timing, and his answer.

But there is only one God that is real, perhaps yes.... he does have different names, I just know him as God Jesus.

I believe in the power of prayer- but the power is not in the praying, but in the Lord we pray too. I think sometimes we think, not you, necessarily that prayer is like a magic potion we can ask God and He will do or give us anything we ask for. Yes, through Jesus we have HIS unlimited power placed within us. We do not have powers but the Lord does,

We are to pray to God the Father in Jesus name for HIS will to be done. If our prayers aren't working, we stumbled with it. The key is God's will. ie for the past 10 years I have prayed that God would heal my back. I have had severe pain for at least 4 of these past 10 years. On Dec 18th I had surgery to fuse 3 cervical levels together and have metal plates put in. I came away from surgery with little to no pain. There is a good and acceptable will of God and a Perfect will of God. The perfect will is for healing. Good and acceptable would be the surgery. God used this to humble my pride and make me rely on him. I must believe God for even the small things before the big things come along or I wouldn't need him. I can't get what I want through prayer. I am to receive God's will for my life. Get the difference? All God wants from us is obedience and worship and praise. If we can get whatever we want when we ask, what do we need him for? God Bless

Yes you have unlimited powers, so how come you haven't fixed everything already?

But then, we all have unlimited powers, only, just like you, we haven't got all the kinks worked out, so we don't know how to use our powers all that well yet..

Regardless of anyone's beliefs, we don't need Jesus to call on God, we don't even need God really. The way creation has been set up it is open to respond to anyone who knows how to ask for what they want. No God required.

This is true, in my opinion, because we, as god, set it up this way ourselves, we set it up to be fair to everyone regardless of their beliefs or opinions.

Of course, having God on your side really can help a lot, one of the most powerful clerics on earth had his prayers answered by God on 9/11, ever heard of Osama bin Laden?

Hundreds of millions prayed for your god to stop Hitler before he caused 30+ million to die during WWII and he did NOTHING. A simple little blood clot would have done the trick, say in 1934, but NOOOOOO. If this god of yours could turn a good woman into a pillar of salt for looking over her shoulder, why couldn't he answer the prayers to end evil. Either your god is heartless, powerless, both, or does not exist at all.

If you have unlimited powers, it's a shame that none of you has ever prayed for an end to hunger, or war, or disease. Because, you know, your god would have answered your prayer, being omnipotent and all.

So, it seems that not once in the history of mankind has the human heart, faith, sincerity, compassion, truth and the will of God and timing of God has come together in unison to regrow the limb of an amputee....

Kinda makes one wonder why.....

I am sure ( with respect )
that those who pray to their God and not through Jesus have great results also
i think prayer is wonderful
but i do think that it doesnt matter who's name you pray in ... the prayer will be heard all the same

I think this, "umlimited powers" junk is just more arrogance and striving for some kind of attempt to boast up your own self sense of superiority. You sound like someone who has a very low self concept and therefore feel more superior in here by putting others down and so on. I hope you find true happiness someday and stop treading the religious toes of others.

1 Corinthians 1:9
1 John 5:14-15
We are to pray according to God's will. We are limited to His will. What He may do is not impossible but we need to pray inside of His will.
That is not limited but wise.
