what would make my Fox Terrier constantly chew at his butt and what can I do to stop it?

It may be an allergy, our little terrier mix chews till she has no hair, took her to the vet and she has an allergy to something the vet does not know, what I would suggest it taking yours to the vet and explaining the problem, they can help in finding out if it is a nervous condition or allergy

Fleas, worms (tapes), in need of anal gland expression. Those are the main culprits!!

Ringworm is NOT real common around the rear end. It prefers ears,muzzle, and feet.

could be fleas, allergies or anal glands. all of which are easily treatable. Contact your vet

I would recommend that you bring your pup in to his vet and ask them to check his anal glands, he may need them expressed.
