In a heartbeat.

Edit: my, a bit judgmental (4 thumbs down), aren't we? Maybe I should mention I'm already an Atheist (but I still search for god - I'd give that up).

How would that save the world from destruction?

If enough people abandoned God, it would only make it MORE likely that the world would be destroyed.

After all, just look at communism -- a murderous political system that abandoned God and forced other people to do so at gunpoint (often literally).

That system killed at least 150 of its own people -- and it was officially atheist. What does that tell us?

Would you abandon your disbelief in GOD to save the world from destruction?

There is nothing that would convince me to abandon my belief in God. Your question really is of the tricky sort, since I think you know full-well that according to the Bible, Christians are promised eternity; therefore for us, there is no "destruction of the world". Our world never ends.

Not believing in God started the world on its road to destruction in the first place.

What are you people talking about ABANDONING belief in god .
God is there whether you like it &believe it or not and disbeliefing in him will NOT sava the world on the contrary if you dont believe in him ,you better do or he will make you wish you had believed when his glory appears and it is TOO LATE!!!!!!!

For those who believe, that would be impossible. You cannot just turn on or turn off any thought or belief because someone tells you to. Although for some strange reason Christians seem to think so.

no never.God is real, Jesus is real and the earth as we know it will be destroyed by God himself, and Satan too.God will have a new earth with all who love him and believes in his son jesus and we will all live for eternity in a beautiful new earth where Jesus will be the ruler of this kingdom to come,I feel really sad that you won't be there, but if you change your heart, you can make it there.
