Check Wikipedia on when the respective eids are and then make sure u see the moon to calculate when the day will come

New Moon (that begins the start of the new month).

Lunar month is of 29 or 30 days.
If the new moon is not sighted on 29 then one has to complete 30days then the new month starts.

its diff if ur asking about Eid and the date Eid should be celebrated.. but i dont think (for sure) that the moon is used to decide a holiday.
