It's mostly just wishful thinking I think. I mean you don't want to think about someone you love burning in hell, so when you say they are in a better place, they are thinking that they aren't in pain or anything anymore. Nobody will know until their time comes though, and maybe not even then. Who knows if there is anything after death.

Go to this website:

We do not receive our reward (or punishment) immediately after death because the judgment has not taken place yet. When Jesus returns the second time, then the dead in Christ shall rise first (the Resurrection). Until Jesus comes the second time, all people lie sleeping in death, totally unconscious. Go to the website! Never listen to tradition, always search for the truth.

I think it's a terrible thing to say too. Why would it be a better place to be away from those you love? Especially terrible to say to a child. When I die, I hope people know that I wouldn't have rather been anywhere but with them. :(
As far as the Bible (if you believe) it says the dead are conscious of nothing at all.

It's positive thinking to psychologically keep the mourners from going off the "deep end". If one is realistic and they know the kinds of karma the person has sown in their life/lives then obviously you can pretty much guess one way or another, but it's just polite "BS" for the mental health of the mourning crowd.

Wow calm down. do you think of coming right here yelling and screaming will replace minds? once you debate with somebody you're able to attempt and stay calm no remember how sturdy you sense approximately some thing. once you scream and yell and act like this you'll no longer get your element throughout human beings won't hear on your element. next time attempt and be calm and talk in a calm way and regardless of if somebody makes you mad. do no longer call them names. you're able to get greater appreciate on your perspectives then. As for this question. if it somewhat is a query. women people who abort do it for many motives. many are compelled into via professional-existence hypocrites mothers and dads. whilst engaged on professional existence signs and indicators that say " ABORTION KILLS, decide on existence ' inspite of all that they nonetheless pay for their own grandchild to be killed. the following day after the abortion they're returned attempting to shop one infant basically no longer their own grandchild. Oh and BTW they instructed their Son if he did no longer take his female buddy to have the abortion they could kick him out of the domicile. they have been youthful and became no longer sturdy adequate to combat the mothers and dads and had the abortion. the mothers and dads nonetheless kicked him out of the domicile. so which you spot a brilliant form of professional-existence human beings are hypocrites. the two factors professional-determination and professional-existence have a brilliant form of hypocrites. And definite the daddy became in the alternative. or could I say the stress abortion.

Yes, it's just BS. But it's not a nice way of saying "I don't know." We can make a pretty good guess what happens to people when they die. They leave HERE, but they don't enter another place. They "go" where the knot in a shoelace goes when you pull the string to untie it. Poof- gone. Where's the knot after it's untied? Nowhere. That's gonna be YOU, mate, after you're dead. Nowhere.

It's just a way of trying to console the survivors. When the person has died after suffering hideously, too, it's generally safe to bet that whatever place he/she is in is a better one. I wouldn't say it's exactly BS. It's one of these things that people say when they mean well. If you're not comfortable saying that, you can just tell the survivors that you're sorry about their loss.

No it is not BS.
They are in a place where they will never be sick, never get old and feeble, Never be attacked for their social security, etc.
I am a kahuna; and believe in the transmigration of the soul, and I do not believe God or the Universe wastes energy and concsciousness. I think souls are only put in the abyss when they are unwilling to grow mentally and spiritually.

If you are grieving over the loss of someone, then Yes, they are in a better place.
It is to make YOU feel better!
If you are not grieving, then Yes, it is BS, how many people have had a dead relative come back, and say, "oh, it is a better place here".
NONE, SO HOW THE HELL DO THEY KNOW!
