my ex of 3 1/2 years ago txted me out of the blue yestarday stating how beautiful i am and how attracted he is to me. i still hate him for what he did to me. i was in a 4 year relationship woth him and he cheated on me so i dumped him. i just dont what to reply to him or shall i reply at all? what would you lot do?

ok the cold light of day answer is this ( sorry if i am too harsh or cynical)
what has happened is your ex has had no one on christmas day and got a bit emotional. because of this he has got the good old "am i gonna end up with no one" jitters.
wait and see if he texts you again but also remember that if he treated you badly enough for you to still hate him after all this time then he may just do it again.
sorry again if that seems cynical and i hope for your sake he has actually just realised you are the love of his life after all

Text him back saying you're not interested for 2 reasons.
1. Hes a giant turd
2. You'd rather spend a weekend in a sack of used boil dressings than spend 1 second anywhere near him.

Sounds to me like this bloke just will go for what ever suits him. Nobody in this world has that right. Do not get in touch with him and get involved in his world. It is only giving him what he wants, no matter what your reply is. Delete the message and get right back on with your life. I am sure you were doing perfectly well before he texted you, so why risk it?

text a civil reply back, it shows that you are mature enough and have gotten over the situation. There's no harm in talking to someone, (Even if you hate him) I did that with one of my ex girlfriends of a year 1/2, and we are still friends now!

I'd reply and say that I'm already dating 4 guys and don't have any time to talk, or txt message. Tell him you are too 'tired'. He doesn't deserve any more than that. OR, if you never want to hear from him again, ask him if you can borrow $500.

I know how tempting it would be to text him back to tell him to go f*** himself, but the best thing you could do, and the most effective way to p*** him off would be to just ignore him!
Also.....
An ex is an ex for a reason....never forget that!

Unless you want to get back with him, you should delete and ignore.
If you text him back, he'll think you're still interested in him no matter what you text. Don't give him the attention or he'll just feed off it.

Tell him you have found someone else and that you're very happy with him....hes kind considerate, warm, passionate and loyal.........
because hun thats the kind of man you should be with..........not some cheating scumbag.
