Did anyone else buy their child a iDOG for Christmas and found that this thing chews up batteries?? HELP! SUGGESTIONS? or is this thing just defective?
I bought some rechargable but they are not lasting long either. I get about an hour of play and it just dies.

If you have the volume up loud when using it for the speakers, the batteries will drain faster. Maybe get a powered speaker set for your music player and let the iDog listen to it with it's microphone.

Did you try pressing the reset button when you put in the new batteries? Some things like a reset to make sure that everything restarts correctly. It might be stuck in a weird mode that helps eat the batteries.

Of course, it could just be bad -- contact the manufacturer and ask them. They might agree and help you find a replacement.
