No. I disagree. we can prove Religeon exsists. What we are unable to prove is the exsistance of any Deity.

No, I wouldn't agree to that. Until you have seen the evidence one way or the other you can't accurately say that either. Most people because of their rather biased education believe that if it feels good, do it, believe it, and etc. And if they do it or believe it what ever IT is they think its good and then they become rather lukewarm about the whole thing. BUT when challenged on their belief they get all fired up and become fanatical believers. So by challenging them, you have effectively manipulated them into a position that they otherwise wouldn't take if their cognitive process had not been damaged by crappy education and their interesting religion.
If you regard the truth as important you will withdraw yourself from opposition one way or the other until you find some evidence that really deserves to be called evidence.
Half ****** religionists and atheists people the earth. Some even make a good living from it when they aren't getting the pants sued off them. Where are the pure of heart who must have the truth no matter what it is? The pure of heart will take the truth over untruth even if it gores their own ox. What are you? Just playin around? Not serious? Thats your prerogative of course.
You aren't likely to change your lukewarm ways at this point are you? Perhaps you've been too badly damaged to be able to understand what it is you are missing. I'm not talking about embracing a religion. What I'm talking about is your question. Thats a permutation of one of the best questions in the world. The question is "What is the purpose of my life?" Or "Did a Creative Intelligence bring the universe and all into existence?"
Then you go for the throat of the issue. Get evidence one way or the other or abandon the question. Let it consume you, don't be distracted and you will find the answer.

There is undeniable proof of the existence of religion. Religion is man's response to God. But religion just like anything else in this world can be and has been corrupted. There was only one perfect person to ever live and he, Jesus Christ, is the savior of man. Does that mean that Christianity is a perfect religion? No, because religion has been corrupted. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. Religion is the way that God reveals his love to man. The greatest act of love ever known to man was while we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

Yeah, I think you have nothing to lose if you believe. but when you dont believe you risk the chance of not knowing or losing out on God. I heard something similar to this from a philosopher and it made much sense.
Its like when I die its better that I believe in God than not. Because my faith will bring me close to him, otherwise i may be separated though i am not really separated, its hard for me to fathom...

untrue, religions can only be proven at the end of it... like if jesus does come back and the apocalypse happens... but until that happen, no it cannot be proven, it requires faith.
religions can be shown to be false due to scientific evidence. like the mormon religion claims that the native americans were of jewish decent, and recent test have shown this to be a lie.

Every religion of the world could come together with their Holy Book/s and argue their religion is real and right. But it's up to the person to decide which religion is right for them. You can't prove one religion is right and one is wrong. You can have an opinion that it's wrong but you can't prove it.

I think you're correct. After all, most religions offer a minimum of two after-places, and if you got to one of them, you still wouldn't be certain about the existence of the other- making the religion you went to the afterlife with still suspect.

a religion can be disproven but that doesnt mean its followers will stop believing it
however i do not think a religion can be proven within absolute certainty because faith plays a major role.

What religion? What specific belief?
Religion, at one level, is doing something 'religiously'. So, if what you are doing 'religiously' can prove to be good for you than that is proof enough isn't it?
There are many beliefs that would fit into this category (and some wouldn't), so that's why you need to be specific.

It cannot be proven to the disbeliever, and it cannot be disproven to the believer.
So in a way, yes.

I think religion is a faith. Some people believe in it, others dispel it. However, whilst I think its caused so many problems in the world, I think we are all entitiled to believe what we want to. Personally, I believe in some sort of higher intelligence (and I'm not trying to say, we're intelligent) watching over us, but I'm not convinced that what I think is actually classed as religion.
