My boyfriend and i are in a newly long distance relationship. We almost never argued face to face. We get into alot of fights now. And everytime we get in a fight on the phone, he hangs up on me and wont answer my calls. Why does he ditch the problem instead of face it.

For one, a long distance relationship is one of the most difficult relationships a couple can have.I've been there,done that.most reasons why a couple has more arguements over the phone than face to face,is 'cause its easier on the person to confront the other,& easier to not face the problem.another for hanging up & not answering the calls is more likely that,that person is hiding something,like cheating,secrets,etc.a person would rather solve a problem or leave the problem unsolved over the phone 'cause its easier on that person,& leaving it non-difficult on them.It also makes it easier on the other person to really say how they feel on the phone than they could face to face.I would suggest that u make a point to him,that if he doesn't try harder to make the relationship more fulfilling,satisfying,& to openly communicate w/each other.that it just as well to end it.'cause if he is going to continue to communicate w/u like this that there is no relationship 'cause he has no boundaries set for himself,or u.He's not taking in consideration of ur feelings at all.Meaning he's only caring,& thnking of himself.thats not healthy,& doesn't make a healthy relationship.You need to let him know this.

How can he face it if he's not there to face it....you have to remember begin away from you is just as hard on his as it is for you being away from him. Maybe make a mental note as to what causes the fights and just avoid that subject..stay strong and be patient long distance relationships take hard work and time for both people to adjust to them.

Honey, welcome to guy-world! I used to be in the same situation as you. Me and my boyfriend got along great until we tried a long-distance relationship. We fought all the time, and it got old REAL fast. I would say that you need to either move to where he lives, or get rid of him. Long distance relationships hardly EVER work out. You can find someone else, there is ALWAYS someone else. As far as him hanging up on you.....Don't take that crap! I would suggest that everytime he hangs up on you.....don't talk to him for two days. That always seems to work with guys. If they know that if they hang up on you, then you won't talk to them, they should get the hint, (unless they're stupid) and stop doing it. I would suggest finding someone in your area to date.

Face it now- he is seeing other girls where he lives and doesn't want to face up to telling you. He hangs up because he is no longer interested in you. This hurts,I know but it is better to face it now then later. Don't call him for awhile,start to see others too. Soon when your mom calls and says the phones for you you'll say "who"?

sit him down and talk to him. tell him the truth and I'm sure he will stop hanging up. my boyfriend did that for a while and i talked to him about it and told him it was getting old, he understood how i felt and hasn't hung up sense. So I guess honesty is the key!

Once a man hangs up on you. That means he doesn't respect you anymore. Your neediness will keep him away. So be stronger and let him call you back. Don't beg your us adding to the flame.
