It is an abstract attribute of an individual, measurable only by test scores. A high IQ is positively correlated with success in many occupations, and with membership in the IQ-based club MENSA, but there is a huge diversity of beliefs, lifestyles, personalities, etc. among people with high IQs.
IQ is controversial: Some tests have been demonstrated to be biased in favour of certain cultural groups. Test scores can be improved by good nutrition (especially early in life), sleep, and by practicing IQ-test type questions.

It stands for Intelligence Quotient. It's a method of measuring how intelligent someone is. The tests that are used for determining IQ include testing your puzzle-solving skills, critical thinking, memory, among others.

It's a number related to how you answer a series of questions in several fields. When you take the test, they'll ask you to solve puzzles and such. How you answer will decide how high your I.Q. is. But, then again, they told me I was another Bill Gates, yet I'm still poor!

Intelligence Quotient. Most of these tests are biased and therefore the number doesn't really tell you what a person is capable of.
