How do I make frosting. I have everything except vanilla extract. What else can I use in place of that? Can the frosting still go well if I dont have vanilla extract.

P.S. I also dont have heavy whip and powdered sugar(so can I use regular sugar)

You can use another flavoring such as lemon extract or almond extract in place of the vanilla, but granulated sugar will not work in lieu of the powdered sugar.

I have NEVER heard of anyone using regular sugar for frosting.
Sure, you can do ok without vanilla.

What you can do with regular sugar is to take some frozen orange juice concentrate and heat up.....put in the granulated sugar and slowly melt it down.
Let is cool down a bit but don't let it harden, Then pour it on a cooled down cake. Make sure the crystal sugar is melted

you will not ruin the frosting if theres no vanilla, and regular sugar is just fine, just make sure to beat it a little longer
