It is an almost unexplainable thing,I know.
The Spirit's presence is truly wonderful. Odd-yes,but wonderful none the less......
(Non-Christians may kick back, drink a cup of coffee or two, try to lick their noses ,and simply skip this odd question...)

I accepted Jesus into my heart at age 5. What took place was I started asking questions the lady could not answer. She handed me a tract and went to the next person. I have been "rebellious" all my life according to the "church" my parents took me to. I read the Bible and then ask why the "church" had certain policies. I am thankful to God that my parents tried to raise me in the "christian" faith. It was religion. There is a difference between belief and religion. God has held his hand on my life and guided me to where I am today. I just recently received more blessings than I ever thought possible. I have learned that by reading the Psalms out loud, I make prayers of all sorts. In this, I am blessed by God. I have learned to just pray prayers of worship and adoration unto God. That is what he wants from us and there is where we really get the benefits. I guess my answer to the question is, there was a determination to find out more about this Jesus who went so far as to die for me. Guess what. There is more. He was buried, went to hell, and on the 3rd day God raised him from the dead. Even when I am wrong, Jesus intercedes and leads me back to repentance. Grace and mercy. There is nothing more we need. By God's grace and mercy we are "saved". Keep reading your Bible and praying. God Bless you and give you the peace that passes all understanding in a world that is full of war and rumors of war. Peace is to us in our hearts/souls, not to the confusing world. We can have peace in the midst of war.

The conviction power of God through the Holy Spirit. As Jesus says in John 6:44; No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me "draw him" and I will raise him up at the last day.

Physically, nothing happens. The worst thing is that people think that something physical SHOULD happen.

I have heard everything... "THe wind blew my hair"... "An Angel blew a trumpet in heaven and I heard it!".... "A dove descended from heaven and rested on my shoulder".... on and on and on...

However, I don't beleive a word of it. Other religions can have their myths, Christianity is reserved for the logical mind. Those of us that are not seeking applause from man, but from God. Therefore, we don't need to tell idiotic stories to try and impress people.

If you happen to be one of those Christians that tells some idiotic mystic story, then stop. You are only causing intelligent people to cringe at your religion.

As for what happened to me.... I got saved. <----Notice the period

Since I got saved through infant baptism when I was only a couple of days old, I don't remember anything.

But the Lord has been with me all my life showing His love, mercy and gifts to me as I have matured in His Word.

The spirit moved me, literally.

I wanted to go forward in church, and accept Christ, but people were looking, lots of my peers, I was 15, and ashamed to step out, noone else was. And all at once, i was no longer in control of myself. I walked up the aisle, but I didnt feel myself moving, I mean I literally was not walking of my own will, it felt to me like floating. Suddenly, almost everyone of my friends were also moving, and it was like a flood. And then, there was perfect peace. It was amazing.

For some nothing happens, at least seemingly. But others say they just felt the comfort of knowing that they had been saved and that Jesus would do the rest. For me, nothing happened right away, but now my life is changed.

I felt a peace like I had never known. I knew right away that God had changed me. The other immediate evidence was that God took my filthy language away.
