Moonshine is a term usually used to describe liquor that has been illegally produced and therefore, true moonshine is not legal in the USA.

moonshine is traditionally homemade distilled alcohol, made using potatoes or grains, whatever is on hand, and it is processed through a rigged up still. Each person that makes moonshine has his/her own recipe and equipment and makes it on their property. It's not sold in stores because it is not refined, nor is it always safe to drink. It's usually not legal either.

Moonshine is a term used to describe homemade alcohol made from fermented corn mash and it is not only highly illegal but highly flammable, but on that note i must tell you if you do get some light 1 tablespoon of it and if it burns any color but blue it will kill you.

That is an oxymoron. If it's moonshine, it's not legal.
