ABSOLUTELY NO MIXERS, PLEASE!

Do you have any idea how Cognac is made and the purpose of it? If you want to add mixers, you should not be going near that "GREAT STUFF". Please stay away!

Drink it straight and heated. Don't ruin it with a mixer that is not what cognac is for.

All answers that actually suggest mixing Cognac with any foreign substance (lemonade, coke, water) should be considered abuse. You don't mix Cognac and you don't chill it (that is as bad as mixing it).

Hiya,
Hope the French do not turn in their graves...Cognac is best drunk by itself...or else with some Seltzer water...if you add ice to it then all the flavouring agents or in other words the Congeners get absorbed by the low temperature of the ice....
Santé!

You are of course joking? Take one bottle of VSOP cognac, chill, pour into a glass, add water or soda water, ice, a twist of lemon and then emigrate before someone catches you at it.
