All those saying that it is 4000 need to go back to pre-algebra because multiplication comes before addition in an equation.

Agh! Order of operations folks. Remember: Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction. The mnemonic is Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally.
Sooo............
2 + 2 x 10 x 100 = 2 + (2 x 10 x 100) = 2 + (2 x 1000) = 2 + 2000 = 2002.
Math is always spiritual. :P Much thought has been put into using it it prove the existance of God.

2002 ,by following the rule of the precedence of the the arthemetic operators,u should multiply 2*10 first then the output * 10 which gives us 2000 and then add the 2 because it has a lower precedence than multiplication
