i swim every day since i am on a swim team and i want to keep my hair straight because it looks horrible naturally (its curly and very super frizzy) i try to straighten it when i get home but its very late and i am tired. when i get up for school i try again, but my straightener doesnt straighten it hardly at all. i wish it wouldnt get wet so it would stay straight! help!!!

Swimming can cause major damage to your hair if you get any kind of strightening treatment done. I advise using a cap... but if you get a cap... they your hair is still gonna be a mess. I would talk to your mom and /or save up some cash so you can get Thermal Japanese Straightening done. It's expenisve but it is permenate and it makes you hair bone straight. If you want to curl it up, get an iron. Straight is totally the way to go.Below is a website... Good luck

U can get your hair chemically straightened but then u can not get it wet for 24 hours. The bad thing is it will dry your hair out. The good thing is u can bye stuff that will keep your hair from being dry. If u want a new straightener u should bye a CHI i have one and it works great on my hair, and believe me me hair is really curly to. There is no other way that i know of from keeping your hair straight in water. sorry

People, even with a swim cap on , the hair gets wet. geesh LOL

Other then chemically straightening , you cant keep it straight after getting it wet

Straightening products that you can leave in seem like the best option for you. Load up on shampoos, conditioners, and other styling products specialized to straighten. This category has all the best products you need!

use those rubber/latex swim caps, not the fabric ones
hardly ANY water gets in, and if it does, its only a little and you can just touch it up in the morning

use a hair straightner that works on wet hair like a conair one. the water will turn into steam and go out through a channel
