How do you know when anybody is telling the truth? We can't read the heart & mind.
A fairyly helpful measuring line is as Jesus once stated: "....those faithful in little things ....are faithful in big things" For instance if you are dating a person and you see him easily flirting with another woman, that might be considered, little at first, but indeed it is telling you alot.
The potential for somebody telling little lies to you, to tell big lies is high. So if you run your life based on honesty, truth, etc. & if you try hard to live by those principles, then you could use them as a barometer in your relationships with others, being reasonable has to be a part of the process.
Being careful not to be self-righteously judging every little thing somebody does or does not do is important. If you see a pattern,developing in someone, then you need to be careful as to how far a friendship, love interest might develope.

Dude, in what context? That question is so vague it's hurting my head. Next time include some details.
As for a generic answer: Men don't lie any more than women do, because people are people. Being a man or woman doesn't dictate how someone's personality is, and that has a lot to do with their honesty (or dishonesty)

u can see it in their eyes. and plus, if he is lying to u then u should either bring it up with him casually or if it is really bad than just break up with him and tell him why u did it so he learns.and a guy that doesn't tell the truth probably doesn't respect u any way.

go to google and search for human lie detector...this is what U.S. Federal Agents are trained in so that they can successfully interrogate a susoect with out using a polygraph and it works i have tried it on a numerous of occasions and i ahve mastrered it...myself being 17 i learned at at the age of 13 from a Houston PD det. and it works and very helpfull...hope this helps...if you cant find you can email me anytime and i will send some links.

Guys lie most of the time. My mamma tells me "you have to believe 1/3 of what men say". And my Biology professor told us "men lie 18 times in an hour"... so you can go figure!
