Rev 20:4 ¶ And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Yahshua, and for the Laws of Yahweh, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither her image, neither had received [her] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Messiah a thousand years.
Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This [is] the first resurrection.
Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of Yahweh and Yahshua, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before Yahweh; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. (By keeping Yahweh's Laws or not - Gen 3:4)
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

The resurrection is symbolic for every man and woman on earth. We all resurrect in three days. Not just Jesus. It was a spiritual resurrection not a physical one. Think of it like this. Energy makes you heart pump. Electrons. That never dies. It just leaves the dead body. Now where does that energy go? I guess that is the mystery. But it has been custom to believe that in three days the energy will rise to heaven to be judged. It was not just Jesus who resurrects in 3 day. But all of us. We are suppose to Be Jesus - Not wait for him. Jesus represents the divine spirit within all of us and we should rise that divine spirit out of us to live righteously on the earth and be like Jesus, Horace, Buddha - who ever you want to call your messiah. . - This is our goal while our spirit is trapped in dense matter or our bodies. That is what we need to get back to - Being instead of waiting! Then we will be ready for the resurrection and the judgment.

It's true that Jesus was resurrected from the dead some 2,000 years ago, but He is described as being "the first born among many brothers." This means that all who believe upon Him are to be resurrected to be with Him in eternal life. There will actually be two separate resurrections in time to come. First the righteous are resurrected. This first resurrection happens simultaneously with what is referred to as the "catching away of the saints" or, commonly, the "rapture" (unscriptural label for the same event).
After the resurrection of the righteous (those who believe in Jesus Christ for salvation), satan will be bound and cast into a bottomless pit for a thousand years, and during this same thousand year period, Jesus Christ will have a rule of complete world domination and peace. This is often referred to as the "Millennial Reign of Christ."
At the end of the Millennial Reign, satan will be released from the bottomless pit, and he will deceive many of the people from among the nations to rise up and wage war against the Lord and Jerusalem (where He will be ruling from). But the Lord will send fire out of heaven and consume all of these enemies, and cast satan into the Lake of Fire for eternity (the antichrist and the false prophet will already be there waiting for him to arrive).
After this takes place, the second resurrection will occur, the resurrection of the unrighteous dead. In the first resurrection, the bodies of God's holy people are given "glorified bodies" that are eternal (they will never die or be weak or sick in any way). But the resurrected dead will have the corrupted bodies that they had when they died. The evil dead will be judged according to the Lamb's Book Of Life, to attest that their names have not been written into it, and then they will have judgment passed upon them by God Himself for all the evil things they have done in life (this is all recorded in "books"). Once they are judged by God, they are cast into the eternal torment of the Lake Of Fire, which was prepared for the devil and his unholy angels.
After this, there is a new heavens and a new earth, and the city of New Jerusalem will descend out of heaven to earth, and the Lord God, and the Lamb (the Lord Jesus Christ) will dwell in that city in the midst of the nations for eternity. There will not be anymore evil, death, disease, poverty, or sorrow. No loss. Only gladness and rejoicing in the glorious presence of God forever!

The resurrection of Jesus, I take you mean. Nothing happened. Once a person is dead, he is dead.
