People have indicated that if Jesus did have children then Jesus would not be divine. Why? Is it because some people say that Jesus and Mary Madelene conceived out of wedlock? So if they did conceive within wedlock then Jesus is still sinless and therefore his divinity can not be challenged? To be honest the wedlock issue is news to me, I always assumed that if they did have kids they would be married. Remember, this is just a discussion and I do not wish to cause offense.

Further to my answer to your previous question (posted after you posted this one) may I ask you some questions that I hope may help clear the issue?

Why would God want to come to earth to marry and have children ? Isn't there more than a hint of absurdity in that concept ?

Is this issue not just a rather overblown side issue, a red herring to divert attention from the truth ? Possibly also to confuse and obscure from the main issue ?

I am not accusing you of that but this heresy and others like it are perennially trotted out based on no more than an unreliable manuscript of fraudulent origin offered in contradiction to eyewitnesses and documents of proven authority.

Furthermore, is it at all likely that if Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the world, long promised over thousands of years and accurately identified through over 350 prophecies throughout the Old Testament, a Saviour who taught of His death and resurrection in accordance with those Scriptures and Who did die and was raised from the dead the third day in accordance with those Scriptures and whose followers have spread that message down to this day for the salvation of any who should receive it, that God, at such an infinite cost to Himself, would not preserve intact such a vital message ?

You decide.

If you are a Christian and believe in the Holy Trinity which is: God the Father, God The Son, God The Holy Spirit. You will realise that Jesus is God and God is Jesus. At no time did Jesus say or claim to be the Son of God. He said he was the Son of Man. The Gospels were not written at the time of Jesus' life, but were written many years after his death (and subsequent rising from the dead) and ascension into Heaven. I believe that nothing at all occurred between Mary Magdalene and Jesus, therefore, this is not an issue.

Partly, but it goes beyond the wedlock and offspring issue. I mean the Bible tells about Jesus getting teed-off in the Temple, hanging out with a hooker, or crying...and even pulling practical jokes on His apostles (sneaking up on them in the boat and then dunking Pete.) From the human point of view, none of that seems to be very "God-like" behavior.

But you're mostly right...the issue is, and has always been whether or not Jesus was God.

One of the best mental exercises I ever heard on this question was from Bishop Fulton Sheen who suggested that Jesus was either God, or a madman.

He claimed to be God, He spoke things that nobody had ever spoken or taught before, and pretty much single-handedly changed the world. (Remember, during that time, there were people running around ALL of the time, claiming to be God.)

So, if He was a madman, why hasn't anybody ever seriously alleged that?

What's our other logical choice?

The four gospel accounts of his life is written by 4 different men.
All of whom was at the Lord's supper. Don't you think if something as meaningful as his getting someone pregnant or getting married they would have mentioned it?
Colossians 1:15 pretty well describes Jesus roll in the Universe.
It says he was the first thing ever created by this Almighty God.
So then there was two beings in the Universe.
Then in Psalms 148 it tells how other spirit persons or angels were created by Jesus. Colossians tells us by means of Jesus everything in heaven and earth was created and is here.
when the earth was created they said,,"Let us make man."
showing two people. By means of holy spirit they created the earth and the animals and everything including Adam and Eve.
He is not a man, but he did come to earth as a man.
Jude 6 says that for an angel to have sex with a human is why some angels were kicked out of heaven. It is as unnatural as homosexuals. If they other angels [read Genesis 6:] where kicked out of heaven for doing that, then Jesus would have been also. He is not a man and materialized into a man's body to come to earth. Not like a prophet, such as Mosses, abraham or even Mohammad. He was a powerful spirit creature second only to the Almighty God.

Jesus cannot be the son of god, due to the fact that it would make God through Gabriel an adulterer since he took another mans wife, therefore making, Jesus illegitimate.
Jesus can be seen as a prophet, teacher, guru, but to call him the son of God creates a theological mess which the churches have been trying to hide for centuries.
However just because Jesus was not the son of God doesn't mean that he wasn't Divinely inspired.

Jesus was the son of God, not God. He often referred to his father as "My Father"
I have read the theories as to Jesus having a child with Mary Magdalene. I have also read that they were indeed, Married.
I have read that the Knights Templar spirited that child out of Egypt and ultimately got the child to France. This child was supposed to be a girl.
I must agree that it is vexing.
Where are Mary Magdalene's accounts? Her personal stories and writings?
If Christ and Mary Magdalene were indeed married there would be no sin in having a child. Further that bit of controversy would explain many other questions and fill many holes in biblical history.
I have heard that indeed Mary Magdalene did have writings and biblical canons refused to allow them in the bible.
It seems to me that Mary Magdalene did not get the "whore" reputation until after the first bible had been canonized. Even if she was a whore before Jesus and she wed it would still prove the goodness and piety of Jesus for marrying her.
It seems the Bible has more questions than answers on this subject and those canons hid a great deal. Could it have simply been for the protection of the child?

What i feel is significant is who chose which manuscripts should be included in the bible and why it was decided which parts were relevant and which ones wasn`t .It would all be a lot easier to understand if we had the whole lot in front of us to read for ourselves or maybe this is why some wasn`t included because it could have led people to believe something which didn`t fit in with the churches teaching, i under stand about the forged manuscripts and what bits where added in but it would be even more helpful to know more about the ones left out .how can anyone be expected to know the real message or know what the real issues are

Jesus was God. He came here in a human form to free us from religions and to teach how to have a personal relationship with God. Jesus was not married, and there is no historical document even outside of the Bible that would suggest that He was married. He did not have children and He did not sin. He was the perfect example.

Scripture teaches : This world is under judgement for sin. God delays judgement to give opportunity for salvation. God is saving out of this world a people for Himself. At some point God will bring an end to sin and therefore this world by the coming of Christ Who will bring His reward to both the righteous and the wicked. This world and Earth will be destroyed and God will create a new Heaven and Earth in which righteousness reigns. Many Scriptures throughout the Old Testament bear witness to this and look forward to the Day of the Lord. You obviously have not given this proper attention or thought because to continue this world with just the wicked would make God a minister of sin, which is rank blasphemy. You also fail to read Scripture with any care since antichrist is expressly declared a spirit not a person and there are and have been many antichrists from the time of the Apostles. The spirit of antichrist opposes the spiritual rule of Christ in the heart. The Kingdom of God is presently a spiritual Kingdom. Spirit opposes spirit and flesh opposes flesh. That should be obvious. Rapture is a descriptive word and has been coined by man to mean something special according to their particular leanings but it has no place in Scripture. Your excessive use of this word means you have therefore departed from Scripture and are simply confusing yourself with man's ideas. The important point to make is that it is God Who gives understanding and not man. Therefore forsake men's teachings and your own carnal understandings and seek God for yourself through His word. Scripture opens and explains Scripture so you certainly do not need men who will only muddy the water. But you need the Spirit of God Who will show the Scriptures that will open and quicken them to your understanding. Of course this no doubt will take time and application and will make demands upon us individually and is therefore not popular. We are to read the Scriptures to hear what they say and what God will show us through them and never to look for confirmation of any doctrine. Anybody can find anything in Scripture to justify their own views which is a false use of Scripture. The whole point of the Scriptures is for us to come to know God and grow in the knowledge of God for ourselves. The gaining of knowledge from men's teaching can only be of the mind or intellectual and obstructs and hinders the knowledge of God. We are to live righteously by the Spirit of God here and now. Without that what is the use of knowing about the events at the final end of this world which we might never see anyway?

The answer to all your questions should be in your belief yourself in what others wish to pass on of their knowledge, obviously sum1 in their time wrote their versions of events but if the person next to you turned round and you did not know them and told you something? would you believe them and worship it, and if all wished to be divine and what ever else the world would be a whole lot less populated would nt it, this will always be a never ending question but very good and millions of people could give endless answers. Good luck in your thirst for an answer.
