Most cats actually prefer to be the only cat in the house. My cat sleeps when I am gone but when she hears my key in the door she runs to is and sits there like she has been waiting for me since I left so that I feel terrible. I have watched her through the window many times.

My cat is the same way. when i leave, i turn the tv or radio on, so the cat thinks there is someone there. best if you have long recording of yourself

put down a shirt of yours;so she has your smell with her'.and also play a radio low 'and that will keep her' little company.....lol
