For the best Gloss paints I would recommend a Gloss enamel , preferably a Marine gloss if available, these can be used externally and internally although for inside use the smell could be over powering.
Semi gloss is usually used in Bathrooms and Kitchen ceilings as this reduces the possibility of mildew.High gloss enamel is normally used for traffic areas such as doors ,trims and skirting.
Satin is mainly used on walls.

A Hi-Gloss Water Based Gloss Enamel that provides a safe-to-use enamel for interior use. It is ideally suited for enclosed areas where odour sensitivity may be an issue, offices, children's rooms etc.

Gloss is an ambiguous term. Each company will have their own scale of gloss. What I would recommend is that you ask to see a sample card and the company will provide a sample. Get samples of gloss from every company find the one you like and then choose a color from that company. It is the only way to be sure.

Lightly sand the walls where the high gloss paint is. If the walls are stained/mildew you MUST clean with a mildew remover first. Wipe any sanding dust off the walls. Let walls dry very well, no showers for at least 12 hours prior to painting. Apply a good quality primer that works for all types of interior paint. Let dry. You can now apply any sheen of paint you wish.
