How long have we human been recording temperature variations? Now, how long has the earth been around? Alot of difference in the numbers right? So, we naturally go through cooling and warming trends. Not that humans didn't have any impact...but the impact was like shooting an elephant with a slingshot...not much at all. You have volcanos that put out more gases than all of the cars in the world running constantly for 10 years...it just doesn't compare.
So yes...Global warming debates and theroies are a hoax.
For the answer above: Cutting down trees? Oh, Come on...have you been anywhere recently besides a city? I mean there are more trees in the US now then ever...the indians used to burn them once the forest got too thick. You got to get out and look at the world...it is doing just fine environmentally (all except for the cities of course...but those are little needles in the haystack).

Agreeing here with humans can be part of the cause of global warming. Along with the fact that the Earth is still coming out of an iceage. I feel the need to spread some gloom.
If we are able to overcome this global warming thing and we just might be able to pull it off. Which will be a good thing. Everyone has to understand that at some point in time the earth will be consumed by the sun and it is going to end one way or the other. If by chance the Earth some how avoids the torch of the sun when it novas and dwarfs it will freeze and be iced miles deep. Maybe and just maybe humans will be living on other planets around other stars. Know what? At some point those stars will go dead as well. One by one till all are gone. Might take billions of years to happen but it is going to happen. There will be no one left to see that we made solar panels and prolonged the life of the human race. There will be no one any where to remember or find any thing we created. It is a doomed effort from the start ..
But never the less I would like for my great great grand kids to see trees and birds. Just because it has to all end at some point it don’t have to be our fault or be right now. Let nature take it’s course. But then again. We are human and no matter what it is we do we were created by nature so nature is what nature does. If we blow the world up it was still an act of nature.
And stupid greedy people are an act of nature as well. Most people don’t care what happens after they die.
Sorry for the gloom but it seemed to be the right place to make this post.

I do believe that there is a bit of global warming. But if research is done, our planet has undergone SEVERAL severe climate changes in history. Could humans be involved? Sure. Are humans actually changing the climate? NO... No matter how much chaos is added to the world, Mother Nature always seeks order in the chaos. If too much carbon dioxide is in the air, trees will eventually adapt and take in more Co2. Our air is currently 78% nitrogen now. There is a very minute amount of Co2 in the air. Are glaciers eroding and falling into the sea? Yes. Are NEW glaciers forming in different areas? YES!!!!!
I say that global warming is a bunch of hogwash....

I didnt even read the rest of the comments I just know that gulf is uneducated on this subject... Trees are not gona take in more Co2 infact they will actualy start to give out more Co2 and take clean air instead of the other way around. derf derf global warming cant be controled by man derf derf good thinking there. Lets just nuke every part of the ocean and see if it has any effect I bet it wont because the earth is a closed system and nothing has effect on a closed system. People have no clue whats going on in there world we are aparently all 2 busy working to make money so we can buy an extra big mac instead of taking the time to learn about the world and how we can better it.

The people who say not to worry agree changes are occurring. They are only saying the changes are not dangerous and probably natural anyway. For example, we know for sure that ALL polar ice melted in the distant past. Then later it froze again. So if it melts again, no big deal, they say. I wouldn't say no big deal exactly, but it will definitely not be the end of life. It will just be one more change that people adapt to. And it would be easier to adapt to a warm climate with no polar ice that it would be to adapt to a full blown ice age.

Okay, I'd like to clarify some things here: A) OUR Sun is too SMALL to go supernova, and B) yes, more trees may grow, but trees don't account for that high a percentage of CO2 absorbtion, and we are cutting them all down anyway, so that idea it out. And, people who claim that pumping unnatrual evels of CO2 into the atmpsphere doesn't do anything, just look at other greenhouse gases. CFCs cut this HUGE *** HOLE in the ozone layer.

They can't - they're just pulling junk out mid-air if they are denying it. They can't stand the fact that humans were so stupid we let this stuff get away from us. If we stopped using fossil fuels totally, TODAY, it would take 100 years for the warming effect to level off to a workable level. The greedy s.o.b.s took advantage of this planet by raping it to the point of extinction, and I am embarrased to be a human being. Intellegence is no guarantee of the survival of our species.
