If you do, then I guess I do. Sometimes I wonder if my life is like "The Truman Show", and I am the only person not watching the same program everyone else is. God is real, he is in you and me, and that makes him real. So, b/c you believe in him that makes you need a shrink? Then millions of people need a shrink!

Nope you dont need a shrink. Alot of us think that all the time.... I do... Just stop thinking about it and enjoy life. If you want to know what life is about, its living, loving and learning. Get out there and just start loving, learning and having fun. Chances are there is a god, something had to create something initially, but we dont know scientifically how or what it is... so what else are we here for? All I can come up with is living, loving and learning. So live it up! There is no explanation! Live, Love and learn thats my motto.

Actually you are right this world is called Maya (illusion) it is temporary and full of misery. We are not this body, we are Spirit Soul, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul, also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. We have to reconnect with the Unlimited one to be truly happy and peaceful. Go to krishnaculture. for complete details Read Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada for Universal love of God

We divide our lives between sleep and dreams. It could be that the dreams are real and the wakefulness is the illusion. If I were typing this in my dream...it would seem very real to me.
If even the perceived reality of solid matter is an illusion, then why not our our experience in these bodies.

There is an ancient Zen koan that states life arose from matter for the purpose of observing itself. I find it much more comprehensible to believe that this (us included) is all the result of a Creator.

What you need is a needle. Go ahead, take one. Then sting yourself with it. Is the pain real? If you fail to feel anythong, then you ARE living a dream. If not... it will hurt.

I've wondered this myself, but have come to believe that life is real, and I only have one of them to live. I find that spending too much time contemplating one's own existence can become profoundly disturbing ;-)
