My puppy seems to pass gas all of the time. She is 11 weeks old and I delivered her because her mom is my dog. She is a chihuahua and has had her parvo and booster shots so far and will be getting her next shots in about one more week.
Is it a bad sign is she is always farting?

I want to add that she gets exercise, gets plenty of food and water, and is very active and happy.

I feed her puppy food Science Diet and Iams. Maybe I should take the Iams out of her diet.

If i ate the crappy science diet and iams i would be gassy also............
The food you are feeding your pup is crap, NOTHING BUT PURE JUNK FOOD......................
You want a good dog food without all the corn and fillers in it that causes the gas switch to an all natural dog food like innova, canidae, wellness, solid gold, or california natural.
vets recommend science diet because they get a 40 percent profit on what they sell, they do not promote it for the nutrition they are pet doctors NOT nutritionists.................
Anything you buy at the vet ot the grocery stores or farm supplies are very crappy food full of fillers, and cancerous cauing agents. Sure they list meat by-products on the ingrediants, but if you call road kill diseased livestock, euthanized dogs and cats and chicken beaks and feathers good quality meat then continue with what you are doing because this are the actual ingrediants in the dog food you are feeding, they just cover it up with mumbo jumbo to make you as a consumer buy the crap.

Try Canidae, Natural Balance, Wellness or Innova. Science Diet and Iams are not very good foods.

What kind of food does she eat? Maybe it's not a very good food?
Try Science Diet or Merrick. Make sure it's puppy food and small bites.

Some breeds are more musically inclined than others, if you know what I mean. She could have a food allergy. You might try feeding her a special diet.

What kind of food are you feeding her? If you're feeding her scrap food as well as regular dog food that can't be too good for her.

Any chance you are feeding it a HOLISTIC food? Holistic foods tend to give a dog gas.
