You need a minimum of 2GB of Ram memory to "efficiently" run windows vista. You could get by with 1GB but it would probably not run as fast as the recommended amount of RAM. I personally am getting away from windows OS because it is becoming TOO graphics heavy as a OS. That is why it is so instable sometimes and get errors alot. I perfer linux or mac os to run media and computer programming. Also make sure you get at LEAST a 2 Ghz processor because vista is "A GRAPHICAL interface monster". Also the harddrive space really doesnt matter too much. You could easily get by with a 80GB harddrive with vista...
