As your belly gets bigger, most of the time the placenta moves up with it. Right now, as he says, it is a little low, and that means plenty of rest with your feet up, no major cleaning, definetely do not pick up anything heavy. He will order you another ultrasound in probably about 3 to 4 weeks as long as the bleeding does not increase. Another thing, please no intercourse until your placenta moves up. If your bleeding does get worse, he will most likely put you in the hospital on strict bedrest, and I know you do not want that. The reason you need to keep an eye on this, if the bleeding increases, then you will have to deliver early, and that means a very sick baby who will probably have problems breathing on his/her own. Please, I'm not trying to alarm you, but I'm giving you the worst scenario. Good luck and plenty of rest.

It looks like the possibility of "Placenta Previa". You still have time for it to raise though as the baby grows. If it doesn't you will have to have a C-Section. Which are not as bad as some people say. I had a C-Section with my 3rd because of "Breech Presentation" and "Placenta Previa". I would rather have a C-Section over Vaginal Birth. I'm going on my 4th and have to have another C-Section.. You should be fine though..
Placenta Previa is where the placenta detaches from the uterin wall and falls. It can cause spotting.
Good Luck

I wouldn't think it would be abnormal for that to open. I am also 28 weeks and even though my placenta isn't low, it's in front of my baby. Who knows? that's all the doctor said. I think you should be fine. i would do lots and lots of research. Go to Google.com and type it in.. Try that. Good luck and I'm sure your okay.. and will have be able to deliver naturally.

My chum had a similar, she grew to become into clinically determined with placenta previa. The surgeon warned her that if she began bleeding then she mandatory to seek for out scientific help right this moment because of the fact she could be in threat of hemmorraging with the placenta so low. The surgeon had to do yet another ultrasound while she grew to become into 35 weeks alongside to verify if she had to have a C-area quickly after for emergency motives. She went in to the surgeon and the placenta had moved nicely out of ways. She introduced needless to say, yet it grew to become into an rather long delivery. So, there are situations while the placenta strikes out of ways and ladies persons on your subject pass directly to grant needless to say. save your hopes and prayers up. If it would not pass despite the fact that, you will desire a c-area as this is risky to you and your toddler. The surgeon will possibly video demonstrate it for adjustments for awhile so no could desire to get upset over it. they assist you to know the end result around 35 weeks or so as they do provide it time to go out of ways.

I don't know why a low-lying placenta would cause bleeding. As long as it is not blocking hte cervix, you should be able to give birth naturally.

You might have placenta previa. If this is the case you cannot have your baby naturally, you will need a cesarean section. It is very soon still and this can go back to its place. Good luck
