Its all weird. How about invitro fertilization? GMO's? Artificial knees?
On the other hand (no pun intended) our bodies are really just biological machines that we (the soul) ride around in. I'd be perfectly willing to let someone else use any of my parts once I was done with them. I donate clothes and stuff I no longer use to the Goodwill etc. Why not body parts?

Weird no, new medical frontier, yes.

Does sound a little spooky. Must be a woman who lost her arm and hand and received a cadaver transplant.

no it is just not heard of as much as say a liver or kidney but the things that can be done in this day and age are remakable.

we can transplant a good many organs, why not a limb? I wish her good luck tho, not many of these types of transplants have been successful.
