NO, not at all. Only the followers of Jesus and Mohammed have killed millions of people for not believing in them.
On an interesting level, Jesus and Buddha taught many of the same lessons and both taught peace, (There is a great book called Christ and Buddah, the parallel teachings that shows the similarities very well)
Unfortunately, Christianity took a horrible turn when it became the imposed religion of the Roman Empire, and went downhill from there with The Crusades, The Inquisition and the conquest of the New World. Islam has been perverted and should be eradicatd for the betterment of mankind.
Buddhisim is not a religion per se, but more of a philosophy and way of life. Buddah is not God, never said he was and is not claimed to be one.
In the end, all gods are lies.

Hello =)
As one answer tried to point out...
Many Buddhists consider Christ to be a Bodhsattva (A Buddhist Saint) or even a Buddha..... The same is largely true of Muhammed (PBUH), because he took the words of the Archangel Gabriel directly, which may very well be the Bodhisattva Avolekiteshvara, or Kuan Yin....another Buddhist Saint or Angel, depending upon your specific Beliefs.....
Any truly good person, who works for the benefit of others, untiringly, and does so for no personal benefit, even up to giving up his own life is a Boddhisattvah, or Saint.....It is not appropriate to judge whether another person has attained enlightenment, but if one is to consider that the resurrection, and the miracles of Christ may be true, then they are signs of true enlightenment, and that would mean that Christ became a Buddha...so.....
To us, as Buddhists, they are equal...but there is a further implication to your question...
Are you, and all persons, including Christ, Mohammed (PBUH), Saddam Hussein, The Dalai Lama, Atilla the Hun, and Mother Theresa equal??
To the true Buddhist, yes, for all beings are equal, and deserving of our love and compassion, even as we might consider our mothers, or our only children.
I do love you, and all those who have answered this question, although I do not love small-minded opinions, and thus, I pray for many of you, on your path as Christians, to follow the true teachings of Christ, and not just your interpretations of them.
Namaste, and Happy Holidays to you all.

Buddha is not a God nor sacred nor to be worshiped. He was just a man who became enlightened and was able to pass on some of his knowledge.
You could compare him to Jesus and Muhammed as they are all central figures in a certain belief system.

Interesting how quickly we can pronounce a judgment on people or situations we only have had the slimmest of contacts with. I haven't even seen sheep that are equal to each other.

I have read several answers here that say Buddha is not worshipped. I know for a fact that people that have Buddha's in their home leave food sacrifices for him. Isn't that worship? By the way, Christianity is the ONLY religion that worships a LIVING GOD. Jesus was the son of God and died, was buried, and ROSE AGAIN from death and the grave. So NO Jesus is greater than all.

The Buddha does not claim to be devine. He told people not to worship him, he considered himself a teacher.
