Heres Islam in a nutshell: Insecure men trying to preserve a misogynistic culture.

WIKIPEDIA: "Entire cultures may be said to be misogynist if they treat women in ways that can be seen as harmful. Examples include forcing women to tend to all domestic responsibilities, demanding silence from a woman, or beating a woman. Subscribers to one model, the mother/whore dichotomy, hold that women can only be "mothers" or "whores." Another variant is the virgin/whore dichotomy, in which women who do not adhere to a saintly standard of moral purity are considered "whores."

Ever hear what Muslims say to each other or what they write? Every woman who doesnt dress like casper the ghost is a "whore" and "slut" and "c***".

Listen to Muslims speak to one another in chat rooms or anyplace where they wont be tempted to modify their norms for western ears.

When you said the word "insecure" you hit the nail on the head.

Yes, and the culture IS based on male dominance.
The men , no doubt keep their women covered because they are better loking than the men. This hurts their ego.

Sad realy, that the decendents of the creators of the archway, algebra, and thousands of beautiful buildings and pieces of art can contribut nothing more than discovering quicker ways to destroy people and property. Is the affirmation of their own power so important that these once great academics have made themselves mo more than a cultur fo jealous, destructive, and suicidal thugs? The could have done so much better and gained the respect of the world, rather than it's revulsion.

Butterknives are pretty helpful instruments: they spread butter over our foods easily, they can cut relatively soft foods better than with a fork alone, and they double as flat-head screwdrivers if necessary.

Now, some idiot comes along and uses that very same butterknife to hold to someone's throat in order to make them do whatever it is they want them to do.

Do you blame the butterknife or the idiot wielding it?

Religions are like butterknives: useful and helpful to some, but there will always be idiots who use them in ignorance or to serve their own insecure purposes.

Condemn the idiot, not the instrument they use.

I think you are the only one who is insecure, because you have no faith, and you pray to things you created by man.

Islam is about praying to God alone

I talked to a girl recently and she told me how bad girls are treated here in America, people treat them like objects with no dignity and respect...

If you want to bash, go right ahead, by know the angels are recording your deeds. And the Day of Judgment is true.

'And the slaves of the Most Beneficent (Allah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness.' (Qur'an 25:63)
