I had a boyfriend or what I called a boyfriend when I was your age but we couldn't go on a date because I was not allowed. We might have saw each other at church and that was it. My parents let me start dating when I was 16. I think it was a conspiracy because they got me a car also and all I wanted to do was drive my own car and not have some guy drive me around. You will have plenty of time to date. Have fun with your girls while you can you will miss that time.

Why are you asking? To see if you are normal? Well normal is older than 16. I am really curious...not being witty or anything. How can you consider it a date or a boyfriend if he does not pick you up in a car and drive you somewhere and pay? I guess I am just old fashion. I hope that you wait until you are a little older to enjoy the experiences of dating fully!

Take your time, you're young. Other people's experiences won't help you. Experience it for yourself, just make sure he is the right guy...and not just popular bla bla bla. You might not think you're ready for it when the time comes, so you want to be prepared i guess no? Well, you'll never be prepared. You'll make mistakes, screw up, embarass yourself, but if he likes you he'll do the same. It is always best to be on the same page. Again, don't try to gather information through other people, let your first date be spontaneous...then again, not too spontaneous if you know what I mean. Be careful.

I was 14 but my dad knew him and he asked my dad's permission to take me out. We went out for 4 years and when I turned 18 I felt I deserved better. There were times when we broke up and got back together, but I think you should talk with your parents about this.

When I was 16, just two months before turning 17...

This summer actually... It was PERFECT... it was actually also a blind date!!! and again PERFECT...

Just wait girl, be pacient, and your pacience will be rewarded. Don't just date because everyone is doing it, that is not right.
Wait until you are a little bit older, and you will enjoy it more...
TRUST ME

when you really feel to do it and find the right person to go with , only that is important not this to date someone only for dating to start in your life , take sometime alone to feel the importance of it in your life , i think you get the answer.

I was 15 and now I know I should have waited. I got pregnant at 16 and I wish I knew then what I know now. We all want to graow up so fast and then later want to go back and make up for lost time. You have your whole life ahead of you....focus on school and enjoy your life with your friends!!
