Does she look "pleasingly plump" and does her stomach look like it's droppped? Does she make strange cries and act, more than usual, like she wants "her humans" to help her? If the answer to ALL of this is yes, there's a good chance that she ispregnant. Let your vet / a vet check her out asap. It's important for her health and the health of the "possible" kittens. BTW: We learned this the hard way BEFORE I worked a short time at a vet clinic.: A cat can "pop 'em" every 4 months! For the health of your cat, consider spaying her a short time after she has a few litters (if you want her to have more than one). Let me just explain quickly, from personal experience, what I'm talking about (each cat is different, I know. This is my story.): The Mother of the cat we still have (he'll be 21 yrs. old March 2, 2007) had 4 kittens total when "Columbus", the cat I'm speaking of, was born. 4 months later, on July 18th, she had 7. I'm not bull jiving you. We were concerned for her because having so many at once is hard on the mother; we watched her and the babies, and everybody survived. Do you see the importance of spaying from my story? Good luck!

She starts knitting little tiny booties and wants pickles on her kibble...

I'm just kidding. Seriously, if she was acting like she was in heat before, and has now calmed down, she is probably pregnant. If she was acting normal before, but now all of a sudden she's yowling and sticking her hindquarters up in the air, she's in heat. If she's pregnant, a cat's gestation period is about nine weeks and you'll be able to feel babies in about a month. You might want to take her to the vet before then. It could also be a false pregnancy caused by a hormone imbalance.

Cats can get pregnant at 4 mos. GET HER SPAYED NOW. 2 cats and their offspring make 420,000 kittens in 7 years. Upwards to ninety% will die the two in the streets or shelters. i'm hoping your vet appt. is for a spay? confident, the cats are surprising around exterior with the aid of fact your cat is lady. Having her spayed could decrease a number of that! I choose you all the main suitable!

One, she gets 'chubby'. Second if she is far enough along, you can feel the kittens move. Carefully cup your hand around her tummy and just feel. She could also be looking for a quiet place to have the kittens - place a clean box with towels in the bottom in a safe/quiet/semi dark place and watch her reactions. Common sense - is she 'rearranging' or 'kneading' the towels, she is probably nesting.

By the way, what do you mean 'strange'?

It sounds like your cat might be in heat and not pregnant. When they are pregnant, they act pretty normal, but they start to get bulky in the middle, and their nipples enlarge.

Cats in heat yowl and slide around on the floor and rub on things and are generally obnoxious.

u can tell when a cat is pregnant when the niples swell up and get bigger, when the cat looks fatter, and when one day the cat walks up to u with a wet butt but the best way to no is to take it to the vet

A few signs that will help you figure out if a cat is really pregnant are if nipples are visible on her stomach, her appetite has changed (she may eat more or even eat less), and she may seem condemned and wants to be left alone more.

She will get a bigger belly. It will kinda start hanging down towards the floor. You should see (or feel if long hair) her nipples getting bigger so she will be able to feed them when born.

Kill the cat, open up the stomach with a knife and look for it!
