If you can eat ice cream and frozen yogurt, you don't have lactose intolerance. You are obviously reacting to something in the milk, but usually when you are lactose intolerant, you are intolerant to all forms of lactose - including even milk chocolate (but you can eat dark chocolate). Symptoms of lactose intolerance don't usually include vomiting, but do include volumes of gas and very loose bowel movements, bordering on or actually becoming diarrhea. Try switching to soy milk. The ordinary soy milk is a little bland, but they have flavored soy (vanilla is yummy) and chocolate soy. Also soy ice creams, but you say ice cream doesn't bother you, so you don't need to worry about that.

Most people become lactose intolerant in thier late teens// early twenties. Sounds like you have what I started to experience back in college; some dairy foods would set me off and others wouldn't.
. You might try switching ot non-fat milk, sometimes the fat content in the dairy will make the symptoms worse. ( Hence why non-fat frozen yogurt doesn't cause problems for you)
Or switch to soy milk, or Lactaid-though I found the Lactaid made me worse.

If it gets real bad you will want to see your doctor,/ Gastroenterologist, but there's really not a whole lot a doctor can do other than suggest dietary changes.

How will my doctor check for lactose intolerance?

Your doctor might use one of these tests:

Blood and Breath Tests

You will drink a sweet drink with lactose in it. Then, your doctor will test your breath or blood for signs that you did or did not digest the lactose.

Um Lactose intolerance is a self-clinically determined subject i do no longer think of a sprint gas skill something and you know it must be the formula you're giving him he grew to become into used on your breast-milk and you replaced his foodstuff plan of direction he is going to have a reaction. formula often makes toddlers extra gassy and constipated. And, him no longer drowsing oftentimes you know breast-fed babies consume each and every 2 hours it quite is 12 situations an afternoon because of the fact breast-milk is far less complicated to digest than formula is

I had it as a child, and grew out of it for the most part. But whereas most people eat a lot of cheese, it can constipate them. It has opposite affect on me.. I still have it mildly, so that could be it with you as well. Just a small touch of it.
