In the last week it seems it's always present... my finger or thumb "jerks" slightly every 0.5 to 4 seconds or so. It seems to vary in frequency depending on whether I'm at rest... or sometimes it seems random. Of course I'm going to see a doctor about it, but in the meantime, what are some things it could be? Possibly Parkinson's?
(I'm 28, and in pretty good health.)
Thanks.

You are doing the right thing by seeing your MD.
In brief, you are too young to have Parkinson (few exception exist)

I don't think so. There are two assumptions: 1) kind of overuse symdrom, 2) neoromuscular disorder. If you are not getting better after resting for a few days, see your GP. If you have any sort of infection recently, see doctor now. Wish you getting well soon!

Im betting on a pinched nerve....it really worries me that so many people with access to the internet, get themselves into such a tizzy about what things might be...self diagnoses is a bad thing...its bad enough to be concerned but then to add information/suggestions that may be way off base..is only going to make you more stressed out....

Hmm, I don't think that it's Parkinson's, but then again you should wait and see what the doctor says. It's unlikely, though. Good luck.

I'd say you are a twit!!! It's all in your head. My father's saying was... " it's a long ways from your heart so forget about it. "
